How to Read Diagram of Rhythm Guitar

(a) Treble Strings: 1st, 2nd and 3rd strings.

(b) Bass  Strings: 4th, 5th and 6th strings.

(c) Down  Strum : Playing in the direction from 6th to 1st     string.
(d) Up Strum : Playing in the direction from 1st to 6th     string.

(e) Count ' 1 ' : Play All strings with Down Strum.
 Count ' 2 ' : Play Treble strings with Up Strum.
 Count ' 3 ' : Play Bass strings with Down Strum.
 Count ' 4 ' : Play Treble strings with Up Strum.

(f) Time Signature   : Refer to theory of music.

(g) All Strings: 1st — 6th strings.
